EXCITING NEWS!

so I'm finally, after months of conceptualising and prototyping, able to share with you my first mini collection. Creating this line has been an exhausting one man show, but the results sure are rewarding. Being the perfectionist that I'am came at a price because I ended up designing, sketching, sewing, producing (yes I can sew!), photoshooting and creating my final lookbook all by myself, which sure as hell wasn't an easy task, I definitely had my work cut out for me.

I created a sustainable fashion line that conceptually evolved from the meaning of the word "modesty" meaning simplicity, unpretentiousness and humility. The sustainability of the design comes from least possible material consumption, where the smart design is convertible.

So my consumer gets to buy one piece, and wear it in a multitude of ways, that are only limited by your creativity!

Hi Loves,

Here's my latest shoot for Kayali Jewelry's December social media campaign.
Art Direction, Photography and Styling all done by yours truly

Diamonds and high-end French cuisine, what more could I ask for?
This was hands-down one of the most fun shoots I've ever done, the most delicious at least! The lavish setting and fine catering were courtesy of La Capitale Amman located at the Four Seasons Hotel, and needless to say, it was the perfect venue for our luxury themed shoot.

The shoot was in celebration of Kayali's Annual Diamond Festival, and I had the pleasure of doing my magic, setting up the flatlays and waiting for that perfect "chocolate pouring" moment to snap my shot. And obviously, Chef Arthur's dishes were nothing short of heaven on my taste buds! (yes we did eat the dishes after the shoot)

Hi my loves,

So if you follow me on Instagram, you would have probably already seen this print by now, I just realized though, that I have yet to write a proper blog post about it! (monkey emoji with hands on face) #WhereAreEmojisWhenWeNeedThem

Okay, but for real though, this was one of the most fun collabs I've done because it was all about the art, and just the art. I got commissioned by Yislamoo to hand letter the beautiful Arabic word "Mashallah" (God has willed it).

And let me just tell you, I can never turn down any opportunity to be creative and artsy, but to have my work displayed and sold as well? SIGN.ME.UP

I wasn't expecting all the positive feedback the piece got, I mean I knew I liked it, I just didn't know people would respond to it so well which made my heart swell <3 (p.s. I didn't mean to rhyme)

So with out further to do here is the masterpiece. Ta Da!
Oh yeah, one more thing, I also did a mini interview which is on the Yislamoo blog, click here to check it out.

Hello beautiful people!
Today I feel like speaking my mind, I don't know, just talking to you guys I guess. Things have been a bit hectic and overwhelming lately, with uni starting and all. Not that I'm complaining or anything, it's actually the good kind of busy, the one where I get to do all the things I love ALL at the SAME TIME! Which as you can probably imagine feels a bit too much at times. Nonetheless, for that split second where I de-blur my vision and get my mind off of everything, I'm nothing short of  ultimately grateful.

Enough blabber for today, and lets get to the look. I, by nature, am a sucker for sports wear and the best day of my life was when Sports Luxe / Athleisure became a thing!

For this look I decided to mix things up and combine athletic pieces like my cropped hoodie and my Adidas windbreaker with pieces that are more put together, if you consider raw edge denim culottes and leather block heels put together. You could easily pair it with a pair of white Stan Smiths for a more casual look. Scroll to the end for outfit details! xx

Hello my loves! So I wanted to do something a bit different for this post and share my undying love for hand lettering with all of you. For those of you who don't know, I'm actually a "Design & Visual Communication" student, which comprises media production (i.e. film making, animation, etc.) and graphic design. I just happened to choose the latter.

Ever since I started studying design in general, I always found myself drawn to fonts and letter forms and that obviously meant that Calligraphy and Typography were two of my favorite courses to date. I was just mesmerized by the way words came to life through the way I moved my pen on paper. It was magic!

That was when I decided to take my lettering obsession one step further by opting to basically teach myself modern brush lettering. It was a whole new world to me where rules did not apply. All the fixed guidelines that you would otherwise conform to in traditional calligraphy, didn’t apply, or they might have to a much smaller extent though. I had a lot more freedom when it came to forms, which was simultaneously liberating and scary.

I started my lettering journey about a year ago, and I took the liberty of documenting most of my work in order to be able to look back at it and see how far I’ve come, or if I’ve made any progress at all. And may I just tell you how satisfying it is to look back at them right now. The progress is just insane! This goes to show that you can literally acquire any skill and achieve anything you set your mind to.

“I still have a long way to go, but I’m already so far from where I used to be, and I’m proud of that.” ~Unknown

This is one of my favourite quotes, and it applies to any goal or journey in life. Let no fear of failure stop you and just go for it (whatever “it” may be)

Have a beautiful rest of you day my loves! xx

Hi my loves! So here's the thing, I've never been one to dress typically "warm" during winter time. I mean its warm in my head, but mules and culottes in the dead of winter! most people would call me crazy, but it certainly won't stop me from wearing it anyways haha.

For this look I chose to style my relaxed high waisted culottes with a chunky knit gray sweater and some black leather mules. To add a bit more interest to the look (and because winter time is all about layering) I layered a basic white button up underneath and tucked both the sweater and the shirt in to give my body some shape.
